There’s always a reason you become the leader you are — a story beneath the titles, responsibilities, and expectations.

For me, it starts with my family. They’re the group here in the photo from Cabo. They're the people who remind me that leadership isn’t about power — it’s about responsibility, integrity, and how we show up for the people who count on us.

My leadership journey didn’t begin in a boardroom. It started more than 40 years ago in the trenches — fixing help-desk problems, engineering networks, and leading a boutique technology services firm as its President. From there, I stepped into sales leadership and carried a $200M quota, then into building thriving global services teams in 14 countries, then into the CEO seat where I grew a marketing company 3x, and later as COO, doubled an international training company into the high eight figures through the creation of a high-performing team. Every role stretched me. Every win — and every mistake — taught me something about people, pressure, and the kind of leader I wanted to become.

Through all of it, I learned that leadership can be incredibly heavy, even when you’re good at it.

The late nights. The tough calls. The moments where you’re expected to be strong even when you’re running on empty. I’ve lived that mental load. I’ve felt the weight of trying to protect a team while leading them, grow a business while stabilizing it, and stay authentic while navigating environments where integrity wasn’t always the norm.

Those experiences shaped my beliefs about leadership — that integrity matters, that people deserve honesty, that empowerment is a gift and a discipline, and that the most meaningful success is shared success. My work now isn’t about theory or frameworks; it’s about helping leaders become the kind of person their team wants to follow — not because of their title, but because of their character.

I coach and mentor the way I wish someone had coached me early on: with honesty, empathy, lived experience, and a deep belief that when leaders grow, everyone around them grows too — their teams, their organizations, and the people waiting for them at home.
